Radha Muthiah is the Chief Executive Officer of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves. Since joining the Alliance in 2011, Radha has developed and implemented a disciplined and transformative sector strategy that has put the Alliance and its partners ahead of its goal of 100 million households adopting clean and efficient cooking solutions by 2020. She has more than 20 years of experience in leading operations for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations, and is a passionate advocate for multi-sector collaboration as a means to solving systemic problems. Radha has made a deep personal and professional commitment to the promotion of sustainable development through innovative and high-impact market based approaches. Before joining the Alliance, she served in senior management positions at CARE, ICF International, American Red Cross, and Mercer Management Consulting. She started her career at and remains a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Radha holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in economics from Tufts University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University.
