Ernesto Zedillo

Ernesto Zedillo is a former President of Mexico, who led profound democratic and social reforms. He is a noted economist and has long been an advocate for the adoption of many complex issues surrounding the peace and development agendas. He is a powerful voice for the benefits of multilateralism and inclusive globalisation, and is a champion for issues including nuclear non-proliferation and drug policy reform. Ernesto Zedillo joined The Elders in 2013. He serves as Director of the Center for the Study of Globalization at Yale University and has been a champion of progressive development policy for well over a decade, serving on many High Level Commissions and Panels over this time.
